Labyrinth

A maximally circuitous enclosed pathway, distinct from spirals, meanders and knots, and affording no choice to the traveller. Bastardized to be synonymous with the maze, therefore an apt analog to a free will v determinism debate. The oldest type has seven circuits. Features exactly three times in popular culture: the library in The Name of the Rose; Breath of the Wild; and Labyrinth, the David Bowie / Jennifer Connelly vehicle.
